Look What I found !!

Hi there :) Look what I found yesterday. My son and I were passing by a huge yard sale and we stopped to see what they had, I wasn't really looking for this at the time, but in the past thought an old 8 track rack would be perfect for my SU ink pads. They had this there, and does hold 8 tracks, so I bought it for $10. It will hold all my I.P.'s perfectly and still have room for my re-inkers and other tool items. Also a great feature it has, is it spins :) It is in great shape still, but maybe just maybe I will re-varnish it just for the fun of it. I'm looking forward to setting it up this weekend. I am also visiting Ikea this weekend to see what kind of Wall tool holders or compartments I can find. It's about time I start expanding my scrap area.

This butterfly thinking of you is a card I created for a card swap that we are having. I had to make 12. The flourish image is from the Priceless stamp set, which I use so often because it's one of my favorites. The butterfly is a bigger image from the Garden Whimsy stamp set, I added some Stickles to the circle dots on the butterfly. The dragon fly brad is adorable and really adds a cuteness to the card. I found those at Stamp your Heart out in Claremont. I used Basic Black and Cameo Coral C.S. Well hope all you scrappers have a wonderful weekend !! And don't forget to get some scrapping fitted into your plans. Because what's a weekend without creation :) My hubby and I will be going to 31 flavors tonight then to see that new Scary movie that's out "The Strangers". HAPPY SCRAPPIN....BEC ~

Scrappin at Screamin Susies

Some of the Scrapbook Gals and I got together Monday, and made our day off a scrap event at Screamin Susies. I worked on a few card creations that I had to get done, and thought as I was sitting there I need to create a page. I haven't created a page for myself in a while now. So WALA !! This is what I came out with. I had these two pic's of my niece and nephews, and just went with the color coordination to match the bright green grass and there denim blue jeans, so I went with Night of Navy and Green Galore. Added my own tag I made and used some copper antique brads. Everyone had something to work on. I had swap cards and fathers day cards, Heidi had baby shower invites to make, my mother had her San Francisco Pics to put on layouts and card swaps, Gloria had card swaps, Aileen and Brianne were helping with the baby shower invites, and Stephanie was looking through the Stampin' Up catalog to see how much $$ she will be needing for the Stampin' Up workshop next month :) She mentioned she loves butterflies. Well there are plenty to choose from. LOL..... Till next time....HAPPY STAMPIN.....BEC ~

My New Scrapbook Storage Cart

Hello everyone:) How was your Memorial Holiday? I wanted to share with you's a really nice gift I rec'vd from a friend of mine. This is something that would put a big smile on any scrapbooker. It has 9 compartments that can hold 12x12 size c.s The last 3 drawers are removable so you can fill up and take along with you. Another nice thing is that it has wheels, so I can pull it up to me while I'm scrapping in my scrap therapy room :) Thanks Stacey.....

Post-It Holder

This is a type of 3-D object creation I made for a friend. It went perfect on her desk at work. I used a 3 X 5" acrylic picture frame, stamped a same size piece of cardstock and just slid it through, adding pink passion gingham ribbon. The butterfly is from the Priceless Stampin' Up stamp set, and just added some dimensionals to give it a type of 3-D effect. I did glue the backing of the post-it notes so it can be a little more secure. This is a nice gift to give for any occasion, just decorate to your desire. It's pretty simple and maybe only takes about 15 minutes. The saying on the little tag reads, "friends are like pockets....you can never have too many". HAPPY STAMPIN.....BEC ~

ATC Swaps !!

Hi there :) I am participating in a ATC Swap. This is the design I came up with. I really enjoy using these two colors together. Blush Blossom with Chocolate Chip. I used the Priceless Stamp Set, cut out my butterfly and added some glitter glue to it. I decided to distress the inner card stock with chocolate chip ink. I made 10 of these ATC cards, measuring in 2 1/2 by 3 1/2. You can get 10 of these sizes off a 8 1/2 x 11 sheet of card stock. I will be mailing these to Tracy D., another very creative scrap friend I met through the stampin community. These little cards of mine are traveling all the way to New Hampshire. I'm kinda excited to rec'v my 10 different swaps. As soon as I get them, I will post so you's all can see. They will be coming from some talented creators. The beautiful weather is finally here in California, I can hardly wait to start having my Stampin' Up Workshops out in my patio. I have so many ideas and projects to share with you all. And I really need to start Scrapbooking all my pictures I have been developing. I just been really busy helping out friends and family with projects, that I haven't had time for my own scrapbooking. I buy goodies every week, now it's time to sit my behind down and get creative. HAPPY STAMPIN........ BEC ~

Just A Little Thank You !

I started out with only the bright pink rik-rak ribbon, and said to myself I need to use this. I remembered I had to make my friend Rebecca Gipple a thank you card for being such a sweet person. She always thinks of everyones work anniversary, which was mine a few weeks ago. 11 years working for CCB, wow where does the time go :) The colors I used for this card was Positively Pink, Chocolate Chip and Whisper White. I used Garden Whimsy stamp set by Stampin' Up (One of my favorites), The tag had the perfect saying (best friends listen to what you don't say). I cut out the butterfly and popped it up and added glitter glue dots. I also distressed the edging of the card with chocolate chip ink. THANKS BECK, FOR BEING SO GIVING.... Till next time, HAPPY STAMPIN.... BEC ~

Happy Mothers Day Gifts !!

Hello Scrappers !! These were the small gifts I made for Mothers Day !! I didn't make many, just as many as time aloud me to make before I left to San Francisco. I had seen this ribbon idea in plenty of Blogger Visits, and have been wanting to try it myself, well I thought it would be great to finally try it on my Mothers Day cards. Wala !! What do you think? I thought these colors went really well. Summer Sun, Real Red and Whisper White. Oh, and regarding the cards that I create and give-away, I never write on the inside, I write my message on a Sticky and just place it inside, and I do the same on the outside of the Stamped Matching envelope. Why I do that?? So the recipient may use it to give to someone else. But most of the time, the responses I get are, that they don't want to give them away :) Maybe I should start making two....to give to each person. Oh...I know how about you use my card as a sample and make a few exactly like it, so you can give away... Ok, back to my project, along with the card I made a cute candy treat holder. Inside the Card Stock holder is a cellophane bag filled with hard lemon candies, which I stapled to the inside of the card stock and covered the staple with a red bow. I used my Stampin' Up 1 3/8" Circle Punch for the window. Cut out my stamped flower and popped up with a dimensional and added a red button. These can be made for any occasion. Actually, when my friend Coleen seen this idea, she went home and created some herself, samples for her Son and future daughter in-laws wedding coming soon. Possibly Party Favors. As soon as I get a pic from her, I will post her creation. The colors she used were Plum and Silver. They came out sooo.. cute HAPPY STAMPIN...BEC ~

Back from San Francisco !!

Hi there :)
I am back now from my trip to San Francisco. I went up there last weekend for Mothers Day. My aunt is a Girl Scout Troop Leader, who took her troop to San Francisco to cross the Golden Gate Bridge. There must of been more than 2,000 girl scouts from all over the world there. My mother, my youngest son and myself joined the girl scouts on their walk across the bridge. It was a very nice 3 day get-away. But I have to say I don't think I ever walked so much in my life. This is a picture we took of the bridge the day before the girl scout event. Now I am back home, and continuing on the projects that I have been working on. I am going to go ahead and add a few more other postings, since I'm kinda behind here :)

Where's Big Bird ??

I think these little guys know they are going to be on scrapbook pages... They are so photogenic. I had found these sesame street stickers at a scrapbook store and just had to buy them. I don't see much of sesame street anymore. To make the stickers look like actual cs diecuts, I stick them onto white cs and cut around image, so it makes the sticker thicker and I could pop them up easily with dimensionals. I just used a small background stamp and used white ink, so the green cs wouldn't look so plain... added my own yellow tag with green brads, and some plastic small stars. Till next time, HAPPY STAMPIN......BEC......

Steph is Scrapbooking again

Wow, look who's scrapbooking with us again. It's lil Steph...I'm sure all you scrapbookers were aware that this weekend was National Scrapbook Weekend. We did a little field trip event, visited some scrapbook stores, created some free make & takes, and went out and had breakfast. Learned this really neat technique, so of course I bought all the items to create a project. Just more scrappy stuff to my inventory....I will post the project once I'm done. It's making your own felt. Here Steph created a girl scout page. We will be going on vacation at the end of this week to San Francisco, where she and her troop will be crossing the San Francisco Bridge to earn their badge. I already found 2 scrapbook stores there that we will be visiting :) (SO STEPHIE, YOU WILL HAVE MORE PAGES TO CREATE WHEN YOU GET BACK) Till next time, HAPPY STAMPIN, BEC.....

THIS IS A PAGE I CREATED A FEW YEARS AGO. THE REASON WHY I'M POSTING IT IS BECAUSE WE JUST HAD HIM HIS 21ST BIRTHDAY BASH, AND I WILL BE CREATING A PAGE WITH SOME PICS. I WILL POST IT AS SOON AS I'M DONE... HERE I USED COLORS OF CARDSTOCK TO MATCH HIS BIRTHDAY CAKE. I USED WHISPER WHITE INK FOR THE BIRTHDAY CAKES, I DIDN'T THINK IT WAS GOING TO COME OUT TOO GOOD ON THE TEMPTING TURQUOISE CS, BUT IT DID. I ADDED CRYSTAL EFFECTS TO ALL THE CANDLES, AND THEY JUST REALLY STAND OUT. TRY USING WHISPER WHITE ON DARK CS.... THAT IS ONE INK PAD WE ALL SHOULD OWN, IT DOES WONDERS....IF YOU DON'T HAVE ONE, GET IN TOUCH WITH ME AND I WILL GET ONE ASAP, JUST IN TIME FOR YOUR NEXT PROJECT :) REMINDER: DOUBLE CLICK ON THE PAGE TO VIEW CLOSE-UP....

Two Little Buddies

I hope you don't get tired of seeing these two little cuties. They are my little models for my pages :) They just love helping out Grandpa in his yard. Grandpa was retired for a while, but then decided to get back to work, because he was becoming a little too lazy. He now is working for the City of Commerce, and he just loves it. So Rene and Ryan aren't in grandpa's yard that much anymore. But when they do visit grandma & grandpa, they sure get allot of pictures taken of themselves. Grandma is a camera freak..... My brothers and I just bought my mom a new camera, so we can just imagine how many pictures she's going to be taking. I enjoyed using these colors on this page. I added buttons as the tires on the trucks. Grandma bought the hats the boys are wearing, she thought they would be perfect to wear when they are working in the yard. Till next time, HAPPY STAMPIN....BEC ~
